Less than an hour’s drive from the hustle and bustle of city life, the
historic village of
Romeo offers unique shopping, dining, and warm, friendly people. Recorded as being
the oldest village in the state of Michigan, Romeo experienced significant
growth
during the years immediately following the Civil War through the turn-of-the-century.
Many of the residential and commercial buildings in the village from that era remain
and are in use today. The 4th Annual Romeo Victorian Festival is a great
way for all to
enjoy a day of fun and history as we celebrate the unique heritage of Romeo.
